I recently 'lost' myself in Melbourne for a few days and while I was there, I made sure I visited the
ACMI to see the Walt Disney Exhibition,
Dreams Come True. I have to admit, I was rather indifferent to the idea of seeing unfinished sketches of Snow White or Ariel, but upon leaving I definitely had a different appreciation for the iconic films. Did you know that when Snow White was made in 1938, it took 24 frames (that's 24 different progressive sketches) per SECOND? I sure didn't. You too can discover some neat facts about the Godfather of animation and his films for only $12. You can get your tickets
here. The exhibition finishes on April 26 2011, so if you're in Melbourne around this time, get on it.
Oh, and I highly recommend taking a little friend. It will make the experience all the more magical.
